I loved this book. I read about every night till I get sleepy. When I read when the deer wasn't dead the grandson thought he killed & Gertie his grandmother uses a taser on him I almost woke my husband laughing so hard!

It's so good to read a book about REAL people. I can relate to their happenings and feel at home with them. No beautiful perfect people with too much money and dead parents and family. This book was a joy to read. I'm going to check out your other books now. RUTH from KY

Living in WI, coming from a family of small town cops, and having married into a Norwegian family with traditions almost as strong as Finns and Swedes, I could relate to the characters and story line. This is the first book I've read in many years that had me laughing out loud. I am looking forward to reading more of Gertie's investgations!

  13. This is the first time I have laughed my arse off reading a murder mystery! I love these Gertie Johnson adventures and am anxious for more. Have read four and pray there are more. Even though I'm in California, i get a vivid picture of the setting of these stories as i have been to the great lakes area in my childhood to spend the summer with relatives. I'm 68 and have gotten a huge kick out of everything
Gertie and her cohorts get into. I give these books 6 stars out of five!! Please keep them coming!

    1. I'm writing a holiday novella right now, called Murder Decks the Halls for a November ebook release. She is so much fun. I've missed writing 'with' her.
